This is what happens when you get lost in thoughts during labs… the big bad monkey comes and bites you in the ass!

Done in about 20 minutes to kill some time. I hate computers in our programming lab – those hairs rendered for ages. Initially I was going to make the whole hairy model but simply there wasn’t enough CPU power to display all the vertices and work comfortably at the same time.

Long live computer generated monkeys, though! CG’s the most probable subject for my engineer’s degree thesis. Works have been started – there’s nothing to show yet but I’ve already associated with some friends having the specific project in mind. It regards designing of the 3d environment with advanced collision detection, physics and networking support, all in OpenGL and ANSI C++. Prototype with 2d should come into being in weeks. Update considerably soon.

This sweet thing was born exactly 19th years ago. Saying truth, we know each other only shortly but still… Guessing by the way she instigates me to get drunk I’d say it’ll be a long and productive friendship. Cheers, Girl!

Slow motion. Foot stamping in a dust. Gentle flamenco. Red fabric falling from man’s shoulder into strong hands, flowing with the wind, so ethereal, yet so firm. Impatient hoofs stir up a cloud of sand. Music hastens, gets louder. The bull gains speed. Line between life and death gets thinner. Single reflection on perfectly polished steel. Downcast eyes. Heartbeat is the only sound el matador can hear. The beast attacks! Red fabric, cold steel, red blood and last breath. Everything fades into darkness… The crowd rages.

Advanced soft-body for fabric, particles for dust, some pre-rendered crowd maybe. Textures for fur and for subtle pattern of the handmade clothes: the ornamented jacket, torero’s short pants and a hat. Field of depth for focus from the man’s eyes to the bull. Fluid simulation for blood running down the spade, some blood drops dripping from the tip. Background music, sounds of fabric, crowd, heartbeat, tramp of hoofs, roar of a dying animal. A lot to do.

Chris mentioned meta balls and I ended up with this guy instead of python script. It was sculpted all the way before I realised I was about to do something completely different.

Hell of a time. A lot happened.

Thought, even more did not. I finally unwrapped my tablet and happen to discover I’m being obsessed with it. I didn’t change my OS which is bad. Yet, it gave me an opportunity to learn new things about how I hate commercial companies (one of those actually hired me and assigned duties I wouldn’t be able to accomplish on linux with my current knowledge about it’s applications).

More personal: my girlfriend isn’t my girlfriend any more. People do weird stuff when they fall apart. I guess it’s time of changes… So I changed my hair slightly. OK, I changed my hair a lot. And it’s high time to check out when I can write my maths exam (I was away when we took it) and polish my PHP.

Again, things to be done. Lots of those lately.

Someone asked me this question once and I tried to explain it from a strict mathematical perspective. My answer wasn’t really helpful but it was the most truthful definition I’ve ever come out with. So, what is Blender?

Blender (also called Bledner3d) is basically a diagram manipulation program for advanced mathematical calculations of virtual environments placed in a digital domain used to project all possible outcomes of equations transferred from an income gateway’s source matrix to the central processor unit.

Small hours of the day.

Another crash without a reason. Another loss of time and data. I’m tired of this. Since I didn’t have time to free enough disk space and prepare myself for changing OS, I had to restore that piece of shit back to life once more. Last time I hope.

Long time no see but let’s cut to the chase.

There is the big fish – let’s say Tony – and there’s his bodyguard, Mun, the professional. Tony meets people, bargains, partys, has ladies. The last one’s a problem. Tony’s last date is his gunman’s ex-wife which seem to upset Mun in a particular manner. He sees them touching, he pukes.

It’s just a rough idea, still, I consider it a good base for a storyline. I wish I had more time to play with all new Blender’s features. And to unwrap my tablet. I hope it didn’t get rusty.
